The emergency power kit is a comfort control system that ensures the automatic raising of sun protection products in the event of a power failure. It consists of an uninterruptible power supply (UPS) unit and at least one MSE emergency power control unit, which is connected upstream of the 230 V drive. Depending on the power consumption, up to four MSE modules can be connected to one UPS. Control via a motor control unit or an actuator is possible through a central control or a local push button; additionally, a high-level push button for alarm raising as well as a key switch or a building management system (BMS) connection for reset can be connected. The system issues fault messages. The following signals trigger the raising: power failure, BMS contact (e.g. fire alarm system), high-level push button, empty/defective batteries, overload, or internal UPS fault.
