This surge arrester provides effective fine protection for sensitive components in KNX or LUXORliving systems. Its particular strength lies in the brilliantly simple installation: it is designed in the form of a standard KNX bus terminal and is simply plugged onto the bus line instead of a normal bus terminal. This allows it to be integrated into the distribution board without additional wiring effort or space requirements. The arrester protects the connected bus participants from transient overvoltages, which can occur, for example, due to switching operations or atmospheric discharges in the power grid, thereby increasing the operational reliability and longevity of the entire system.
