This antenna for the DCF77 radio signal is used for the automatic time synchronisation of compatible top2 and top3 devices. It is wall-mounted and, thanks to the IP54 protection rating, suitable for outdoor use. The antenna receives the time signal from the DCF77 transmitter and forwards it to the connected time switches or controllers. Up to five devices can be connected to a single antenna. This ensures that all connected clocks always run with atomic accuracy and manual time correction, for example after daylight saving time changes, is no longer necessary.

The time synchronisation for top2/top3 devices is carried out via a DCF antenna, which should ideally be mounted outside of basements or distribution boards to ensure optimal reception. The antenna is connected via a separate, unshielded high-voltage cable (max. 100 m), to which up to five Theben devices can be connected. Polarity reversal, short circuit, and interruption of the antenna cable are indicated by optical signals.
