This Bluetooth Low Energy dongle is the key accessory for the modern programming of digital time switches in the top3 series. It is simply plugged into the standard OBELISK interface of the timer and enables wireless transmission of timing programmes and direct commands from the app to the timer. A major advantage of this concept is the high tamper security: programmes can only be transmitted if the dongle is physically inserted in the timer. Compared to a permanently integrated solution, this external variant also reduces the standby power consumption of the time switch, thus contributing to energy efficiency.

The Bluetooth Low Energy dongle enables the transmission of timing programmes and direct commands from the app to the top3 time switch via the standard OBELISK interface. It ensures high tamper security, as programmes can only be transmitted when the dongle is inserted in the timer. Compared to integrated solutions, the dongle reduces standby power consumption and offers a built-in memory function (EEPROM), which can also be used in the PC programming set. Additionally, the dongle serves as a memory card for top3 and top2 devices in mains operation. With an operating voltage of 3.3 (5.0) V and a range of at least 15 metres, the dongle complies with standards EN 60730 and EN 60669. It is suitable for temperatures from -30 to +55 °C and offers Bluetooth 4.2 radio standard. The dimensions are 10.1 x 17.4 x 50 mm, and the weight is 6 g without packaging.
