This 1-channel dimming power extension, also called a dimming booster, increases the power of a dimming output by 400 W/VA. The device, which is only 1 TE wide for DIN rail mounting, is used in conjunction with the KNX dimming actuators DMG 2 T and DME 2 T. Up to five dimming boosters can be connected to each control output of these dimming actuators, enabling a total power of up to 2000 W/VA per channel. The dimming booster is suitable for dimming incandescent lamps, low-voltage and high-voltage halogen lamps, dimmable energy-saving lamps, dimmable LED retrofit lamps, and even for controlling many types of fans.

The 1-channel dimming booster is designed to extend the power of base and expansion modules of universal dimming actuators by 300 W per channel, with a total power of up to 2000 W/VA achievable by using up to four boosters. The device operates at a supply voltage of 230 V AC and a frequency of 50 Hz, consuming approximately 0.2 W in standby mode. It is intended for mounting on a DIN rail and features screw terminals for connection. The dimming booster supports various lamp types, including incandescent, halogen, and dimmable LED lamps, and provides a switching power of 300 W per channel. It is suitable for use in environments with temperatures between -5°C and 45°C and has a protection rating of IP 20 as well as protection class II according to EN 60 669.
