The double-insulated solar cable is suitable for PV systems according to IEC 60364-7-712 and can be used in and on protective insulated devices of protection class II. It is water-repellent and suitable for outdoor use, indoors, as well as underground. The cable construction includes a tinned copper strand according to VDE 0295 IEC 60228 class 5, insulation made of cross-linked polyolefin, and an outer sheath made of cross-linked special compound XLPC. The cable is flame-retardant, weather- and UV-resistant, as well as ozone- and halogen-free. It is corrosion-resistant and suitable for temperatures from -40 to +120 degrees Celsius. The rated voltage is 1.5/1.5 kV DC and 1.0/1.0 kV AC, with a maximum operating voltage of 1.8 kV DC. The maximum conductor resistance is according to EN 50395 section 5. The bending radius is 4x cable diameter when fixed laid and 6x cable diameter when flexible.
