The Bus built-in camera 180 offers automatic day/night switching (True Day/Night) and integrated infrared illumination. It has a detection angle of approximately 175° horizontal and 120° vertical. It is possible to switch between full screen or 9 selectable image sections, with electronic image correction applied in full screen mode. The edge area in the selected image section provides an extended detection angle.

Other features include backlight compensation (BLC), Wide Dynamic Range (WDR), and the colour system is PAL. The camera uses a 1/2.7" CMOS sensor with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels, corresponding to a TV line resolution of 600. The lens has a focal length of 1.55 mm. Additionally, it has a 2-stage heater operated at 12 V AC and requires a maximum of 130 mA.
