The CATAN C1 controller is the central unit of the CATAN product family for building and room automation. The compact REG enclosure (6 TE) saves space in the distribution board. The flexible I/O mix further reduces space and cost requirements. Each channel can be configured individually: universal inputs are suitable, for example, for temperature sensors, 0–10 V signals, or as counters; outputs can also be used as digital inputs. An integrated managed switch with 3 × 1 GBit/s is included.

Thanks to PLCnext Technology, the controller supports apps from the PLCnext Store, making it a flexible smart building platform. It also features the function of a KNX IP router for forwarding KNX telegrams and can be integrated into a KNX IP backbone infrastructure.
