If you want to make your radiators smart without tearing up walls or laying cables, this radio actuator is the perfect tool. The MDT RF-HVA1ILB.01S brings KNX wirelessly, securely, and fully ETS-compatible directly to the radiator.

The RF-HVA1ILB.01S is a fully functional KNX actuator for radiators and underfloor heating. Only completely wireless. It uses the KNX RF+ protocol in System Mode and is therefore fully ETS programmable. Integration is done via a KNX RF+ line coupler, e.g., from MDT. Thanks to KNX Data Secure, communication is encrypted and secure against tampering.

Installation is very simple: the actuator is screwed directly onto the radiator valve (M30 x 1.5 mm), adapters for Danfoss RA, RAV, and RAVL are included in the scope of delivery. Power is supplied by batteries, so no cables are necessary. The control value can be configured in the ETS as continuous or switching, depending on the heating type and valve model.

The valve protection function is also integrated: during longer inactivity, the valve is cyclically moved to prevent calcification. Manual control allows you to open or close the valve directly, independent of the bus. In the ETS, you can define operating modes such as comfort, night, or frost protection and recall them via scenes or time control.

The radio range is up to 150 m in open field, depending on wall material and layout inside buildings. The RF-HVA1ILB.01S can be integrated into Home Assistant via KNX integration. The ETS parameterisation allows you to individually configure setpoint shifts, operating modes, and feedback. Integration into central functions or heating logics is also possible.

With its compact design, the actuator fits into almost any environment. Protection class IP20 makes it suitable for dry indoor rooms. The dimensions of 86 x 60 x 55 mm allow discreet mounting directly on the radiator. Radio communication takes place at 868 MHz, compliant with the EU standard for KNX RF+.
