The Modbus TCP/IP interface enables access to the Vaillant geoTHERM/3 heat pump, specifically the VWS220/3 to 460/3 models. It offers comprehensive control options, including the operating mode and temperature setpoints for the heating circuits, as well as the operating mode of the heat pump itself. In addition, up to three mixer modules and the operating mode of the domestic hot water system and an auxiliary heater can be controlled. Access to status information such as temperature and pressure sensor values ​​enables seamless integration into the building management system. The system design can be easily configured via the device website, and firmware updates offer expansion options. The set includes both an eBUS adapter and the gateway. Technically, the gateway has a nominal voltage of DC 24 V to 30 V and a power consumption of 1.2 W. It uses Ethernet for IP communication and supports Modbus TCP/IP.
