This operating cover for the Gira System 55 is characterised by universal applicability and a discreet design without printing, allowing flexible adaptation to different switch positions.

  • Unprinted operating toggles: Replacement for original toggles marked with symbols, enabling flexible labelling or use without symbols.
  • Universal applicability: Operating cover can be used for both the left and right toggle, facilitating storage and installation.
  • Compatibility with System 55: Suitable for the GIRA System 55, ensuring integration into existing switch programmes.
  • Colour and surface: Pure white silk matt for an unobtrusive and glare-free appearance in living and working areas.
  • Illuminated control window: Integrated LED control windows for status indication, supporting ease of use and visual feedback.
  • Note on radio range: Metal covers or frames can cause range reductions with radio components, important for planning in smart home applications.

The GIRA 536927 operating cover S3000 System 55 is a 2-gang toggle without printing, featuring control windows in pure white silk matt. It serves as a replacement for the original toggles with symbols and can be used universally for both left and right toggles. This allows flexible use in various switch combinations of System 55. The control windows are designed to integrate optical feedback or status indication, improving operability and clarity.

The operating cover is part of the GIRA System 55 and fits into the modular structure of the switch programmes. It is compatible with the corresponding flush-mounted inserts and frames of the system. The universal usability for both toggle sides simplifies storage and installation, as no separate version for left or right is required.

Operation is mechanical via the toggles, which serve as switching elements. The unprinted surface without symbols allows individual labelling or use in applications where standardised symbols are not needed. The control windows offer the possibility to integrate LEDs or other indicators to make the switching state or other operating conditions visible.

No specific capacity limits regarding channels or functions are specified, as this is a pure operating cover. The capacity and functionality result from the underlying electrical inserts and system integration.

Planning and installation notes include the fact that when using covers or frames made of metal, range losses with radio components are to be expected. This is particularly important when planning radio or smart home applications to ensure flawless communication.

The operating cover is designed to match System 55 and has a width of 2 modular units, which should be considered when planning the available installation space. Power supply is provided via the mechanical and electrical inserts of the system; no separate power supply is required.

Installation and commissioning are limited to the replacement or addition of the toggles within the System 55 frame. The universal applicability simplifies handling during installation and maintenance. A diagnostic function or status indication is provided via the integrated control windows in conjunction with the installed LEDs.

In summary, the GIRA 536927 operating cover is an unprinted, 2-gang toggle cover with control windows, flexibly used in System 55 to visually indicate switching operations and to be individually labelled. The notes on metal use are relevant for planning radio applications.
