The GIRA 418803 SCHUKO socket System 55 is a socket that can be integrated into the modular Gira System 55, finished in pure white gloss, designed for a nominal voltage of 250 V~ and a nominal current of 16 A. It allows connection of rigid and flexible conductors with cross-sections from 1.5 mm² to 2.5 mm². Installation is carried out via quick fastening, which permits a time-saving and clean installation with about 3.5 turns per fastening claw. The base is made of break-resistant thermoplastic, while the steel support ring is corrosion-resistant and grounded together with the fastening claws and claw screws. The socket features enclosed spread claws and a patented arrangement of large keyhole profiles that enable simplified fastening using flush-mounted screws. The installation depth is only 32 mm, allowing installation even in shallow flush-mounted boxes. Large, ergonomically shaped release levers facilitate handling during assembly and disassembly. The stable grounding clip with solid grounding fingers provides increased contact pressure, tested according to T.N.O., thus ensuring a reliable grounding connection. The socket is exclusively usable within the Gira System 55 and can be combined with the frame series offered there such as ClassiX, E1, E2, E3, Esprit, Event, Standard 55, and Studio, allowing flexible design of switch and socket combinations. Compared to similar products, it stands out due to the combination of quick fastening, robust and grounded steel support ring, and the patented keyhole arrangement, which significantly simplifies and speeds up installation.
