The GIRA 417027 SCHUKO socket System 55 is a 16 A, 250 V~ socket with integrated enhanced touch protection (Safety Plus) according to DIN VDE 0620-1. It features a recessed LED orientation light that emits a light corridor downwards, enabling indirect, glare-free lighting in bedrooms, hallways, or children’s rooms. The LED light is controlled by an integrated twilight sensor, which automatically switches it on in darkness and off again when there is sufficient ambient light. The lighting is fully integrated into the cover, eliminating the need for separate wiring and simplifying installation. The mounting ring is grounded in conjunction with the fastening claws and claw screws. Installation is carried out via quick fastening with approx. 3.5 turns per claw as well as enclosed spring clamps and a robust screw head drive (PZ1 / slot / PH). Installation is facilitated by patented, large keyhole profiles. The installation depth is 29 mm, and the socket is designed for solid and flexible conductors with a cross-section of 1.5 to 2.5 mm². Other design features include a stable, corrosion-resistant steel mounting ring, a sturdy grounding bracket with massive grounding fingers, and a break-resistant thermoplastic base. The power consumption of the LED orientation light is 0.25 W / 0.35 VA / 1.5 mA during operation and 0.175 W / 0.25 VA / 1.0 mA in standby. The luminous intensity is 0.2 cd, and the ambient temperature for operation ranges from 0 °C to +40 °C. The design is in pure white silk matt and blends seamlessly into GIRA’s modular System 55.
