MeTa® is powered directly by the KNX bus and does not require an external power supply. A menu button and two or four (premium version) electronically labelled mechanical rocker switches can trigger KNX telegrams (switching, dimming, etc.). Furthermore, this allows the user to configure the room controller directly on the device, e.g. changing the target temperature. The room controller measures temperature, humidity (standard & premium version), and colour intensity. The brightness of the display backlight can be automatically adjusted to the ambient brightness via the built-in brightness sensor, set to a fixed level, or switched off.
