The FTKB wireless window-door contact is a compact smart home sensor (75x25x12 mm) powered by a solar cell and a long-lasting button cell (CR2032). From 100 lux upwards, the solar cell takes over the power supply; otherwise, the battery lasts several years. The sensor sends a signal twice every time the window or door is opened or closed and sends a status message every eight minutes. The device is mounted using adhesive. To pair it with a system, the housing must be opened and the learning button pressed. The sensor is compatible with numerous actuators, including models that switch off heating and air conditioning when the window is open. The distance between sensor and magnet must be no more than 5 mm.
