The KNX room operating unit features an integrated temperature controller and controls VRF air conditioning units via KNX gateways. Touch-sensitive buttons allow the setting of the target temperature, fan speeds (1–3), operating mode (heating, cooling, dehumidifying), automatic/manual mode, as well as on/off. For control, the internal temperature or humidity sensor as well as external measurement values can be used; mixed value formation is possible. The automatic mode includes PI control for heating, cooling, dehumidifying (single-/two-stage), fan coil, and humidifying. Two inputs support binary contacts or T-NTC sensors. Integrated AND/OR logic allows the linking of communication objects. The device is suitable for controlling an air conditioning unit in summer operation and simultaneously for heating control in winter. LEDs indicate the active settings.
