The IC01D01DAL gateway is a single-master application controller for controlling electronic ballasts with a DALI interface via the KNX installation bus. The device converts switching and dimming commands from the connected KNX system into corresponding DALI telegrams, as well as status information from the DALI bus into KNX telegrams. The device may only be operated in DALI segments with connected ballasts and not with other DALI control devices within the segment (no multi-master operation). The required power supply for up to 64 connected ballasts is provided directly from the DALI gateway. An additional DALI power supply is neither necessary nor permitted. Both ballasts according to EN 62386-102 ed1 (DALI version 1) and devices according to EN 62386-102 ed2 (DALI-2) are supported. DALI gateway IC01D01DAL is certified according to EN 62386-101 and -103 ed2 (DALI-2) and is thus entitled to carry the DALI-2 logo. The device is designed for mounting on a DIN-
