The ASKOHEAT-F+ 2.0 serves as an auxiliary heater for drinking and heating water in photovoltaic systems to optimise self-consumption.

It consists of three U-shaped heating rods, which are insulated and mounted in a steel flange. The heating element has an unheated zone of 70 mm and is equipped with a mechanical temperature controller as well as a shatterproof temperature limiter.

The supplied control unit enables the display of status information and errors. The heating element can be controlled via Modbus-TCP/-RTU in seven power levels and communicates with an energy meter to convert produced energy into heat.

Additional functions include legionella protection, the possibility of minimum temperature control, and connection to energy managers for optimal use of PV energy.

The device has a maximum operating temperature of 110 °C and meets protection class IP21.
