The surface-mounted/recessed opening detector is a magnetic contact used to secure doors and windows. Unauthorized opening is detected and reported to the alarm control panel. The surface-mounted/recessed opening detector consists of a magnetic contact (reed switch) and a magnet. These are installed either parallel, end-to-end, or orthogonally to each other. The circuit of this NC opening detector is closed in the resting state. If the distance between the reed switch and magnet increases, the circuit is interrupted and an alarm is triggered. The detector is protected against tampering. The optimal mounting location is in the middle of your door or window frame. It can also be mounted on the lower window frame if a specific window is to be tilted while the magnet contact remains secured. The detector is suitable for both surface-mounted and recessed installation. The opening detector is VdS certified and available in various colours.
