The thermal differential detector detects emerging fires and flames. It responds to a maximum temperature and a temperature rise. These indicators are reliably detected and reported to the alarm control panel. The thermal differential detector is mounted on the ceiling in the centre of the room. The minimum distance to the side wall is 30 cm. Since the thermal differential detector – unlike optical smoke detectors – does not detect smoke, it is mainly used in areas with high dust and smoke exposure (kitchens, smoking rooms, garages). An alarm is only triggered when a maximum temperature of 60 degrees Celsius is exceeded, or the temperature rises by more than 5 degrees Celsius within 3 minutes. By adjusting a jumper, you can set it as an NO or NC detector.
