The energy management gateway is the central interface for intelligent energy management in single and multi-family homes. It is simply installed on the DIN rail and connects local energy systems such as PV systems, battery storage, heat pumps, wallboxes, and smart meters with the ABB myBuildings platform. The setup is straightforward with plug-and-play, supported by an app for electricians and end customers. With features like AI-based analysis, dynamic load management, solar power forecasts, and the integration of dynamic tariffs, the gateway optimises self-consumption and reduces energy costs. It complies with the requirements of § 14a EnWG and is suitable for new builds and renovations. An Energy One or Energy Plus subscription is required to use the advanced functions. Power supply is via 24 V DC.
