Impulse relays are electromagnetically operated devices that enable simple, energy-saving, and safe lighting control.

Typically, impulse relays are controlled by push-button switches where the lighting is to be operated from at least three different locations. Each control pulse sent to the coil-magnet system causes the device to switch back to the previous position and hold it mechanically until the next control pulse.

In the event of a power failure, the last switching position is mechanically maintained. This technology helps to significantly reduce the electrical loss power and the power consumption of the devices.

Due to their very quiet switching noises, impulse relays are also suitable for use in public buildings, hotels, as well as in private residential areas.
